ABOUT ME
Zhanea June is an established singer, songwriter, and vocal coach from Tacoma, Wa. Her musical gifts have led her to an array of different venues such as the Paramount Theater and Benaroya Hall. She has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with established artists such as Smokie Norful & Xavier Omar.
Zhanea’s music captures a range of genres, from soulful pop ballads to jazzy gospel jams. Her songwriting reflects her varied music influences and her sharp observations of life today. Her lyrics are enriched by meaningful symbolism and creative wordplay, making her music both relatable and inspiring. She has made her mark as one of Washington’s premier performers and vocalists by singing music for all generations and doing so with zeal and a commanding of the stage that is captivating. From Teena Marie to Bruno Mars, June puts her on flare on every song she sings and always showcases her church upbringing and gospel roots.
In addition to her music career, Zhanea Junes passion for the youth and giving back to her community prompted her to open her own voice studio “On a Higher Note” in 2023. She also served as the Music & Worship Arts Coordinator for her church New Beginnings Christian Fellowship.
Zhanea recently released her first single “Bad Habit” in Fall of 2022 & is currently working on her next single from her upcoming debut album. Zhanea also reignited her passion for theatre and was casted as Celie (understudy) in Village Theaters spring production of The Color Purple. Her ambition is to spread her message of hope and joy across the world while always remembering to keep God first. Her motto is “God gave me the gift, I just hold the mic” and what a gift her talents have been to those who have had the pleasure to hear her.
